Highlights of this trip are:

  • Borghese Gallery - see some of Raphael’s major works in this gallery that houses a substantial part of the Borghese collection. Paintings, sculptures and antiquities, begun by Cardinal Scipione Borghese, the nephew of Pope Paul V  in the 17th century.
  • Modern National Gallery - which houses the most important Italian collection of paintings and sculptures of the 19th and 20th centuries.
  • Plazzo Colonna - one of the oldest and largest private palaces of Rome. Artists include Pinturicchio, Cosmè Tura, Carracci, Guido Reni, Tintoretto, Salvator Rosa, Bronzino, Guercino, Veronese, Vanvitelli and many others.
  • Doria Pamphili Gallery - which houses the large collection of paintings, furniture and statues assembled since the 16th century by the Doria, Pamphili.

Sample Itinerary

Day One

Morning flight to Rome. Afternoon free to explore.

Day Two

Morning visit to the prestigious Borghese Gallery, which houses major works by Raphael, Rubens and Titian. Afternoon shopping in Rome's cosmopolitan boutiques and department stores.

Day Three

Morning visit to The Palazzo Colonna, which displays masterpieces by artists such as Lorenzo Monaco and Bronzino. Afternoon trip to the Modern National Gallery.

Day Four

Morning trip to Doria Pamphili Gallery, which houses one of Rome's most distinguished private art collections, including works by Caravaggio, Titian, Velázquez, Lotto and Bellini. Afternoon flight home.
