Exploring Sierra de Gredos: A Geography Adventure with Club Europe

March 13, 2025

“We had some lovely moments of sitting on the terrace in the winter sun, listening to the sound of boys playing on swings, football pitches and table tennis, having a brilliant time.”

A school from London had a brilliant time on their recent Geography trip to Sierra de Gredos, a beautiful rural area just over two hours’ drive to the west of Madrid, perfect for both learning and relaxation.

Their party leader, Harriet, tells us more about why they enjoyed their trip:

“The Gredos Centre was beautiful – such an amazing, tranquil setting, but with so much on offer for our students. The activities were well run, exciting, and they focused on Geography for us as requested. We were really satisfied with the food and all of the staff were warm and welcoming.”

As well as lots of educational activities, the group also enjoyed some downtime at the centre, to which Harriet says:

“We had some lovely moments of sitting on the terrace in the winter sun, listening to the sound of boys playing on swings, football pitches and table tennis, having a brilliant time.”

Highlights of the trip included an astronomy workshop which she described as “fantastic and led by a knowledgeable local expert” as well as the snow walk, which was a “brilliant experience for our students in such a beautiful setting.” The Sierra de Gredos trip offers a perfect blend of adventure, education, and relaxation. With its stunning setting, excellent facilities, and expertly designed activities, the Gredos Centre provides the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable Geography trip.
